This recipe demonstrates our Sysco Simply Plant Based Proteins ability to mimic the texture of meat.
- Season the meatless patty with salt. Heat 1 ounce of the oil in a heavy bottom skillet and brown the patty on both sides. If using cheese, place on top of the patty and allow to melt.
- Heat the remaining oil in a skillet and add the cooked potatoes, shitake mushrooms and pulled oats, begin to brown, turning as they brown, add the sliced shallots, continue to color. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Arrange the mushroom hash in the middle of the plate. Place the sliced meat to one side and the impossible meat patty on the other. Toss arugula leaves with a olive oil and salt. Place on top of the arranged plate.
- The finished plate can be sauced with Roland Balsamic glaze or Sysco Classic balsamic vinaigrette if desired.
