Citrus and Cranberry Brine

Update the turkey on your holiday menu with this tangy citrus brine.

A combination of lemon, orange and cranberry, as well as fresh herbs, this zesty brine adds both moisture and fresh flavor to your holiday turkey.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rub the turkey (or whatever protein you are brining) with 2 tablespoons of the salt.
  2. In a large nonreactive container, combine the rest of the ingredients with cold water.
  3. Mix well to dissolve the salt.
  4. Add the turkey to the brine and let soak for 24 hours.
