- Rub the turkey (or whatever protein you are brining) with 2 tablespoons of the salt.
- In a large nonreactive container, combine the rest of the ingredients with cold water.
- Mix well to dissolve the salt.
- Add the turkey to the brine and let soak for 24 hours.
