Chef Profile: Stephanie Chavez

A native Californian and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, Chef Stephanie Chavez is one of our Premium Protein Specialists, a perfectly suited role that combines her wealth of experience in fine dining with her passion for everything beef and seafood.

A native Californian, Chef Stephanie Chavez grew up in the Central Valley. As a teenager, she worked for DeVinci’s Italian deli, famous for their flavorful handmade ravioli, homemade focaccia bread, and all-natural, made-from-scratch sauces and soups. It was here that Stephanie discovered her calling. She nurtured an appreciation for high-quality ingredients and the delight of serving people. She fell in love with cooking and the way it brought people together, forming connections and memories. Inspired, she attended the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, graduating in 2011 and beginning her career working at high-end restaurants. As is typical in the industry, she worked her way up the ranks starting on pantry and eventually earning a position as Executive Chef.

Always excited about her craft, Chef Stephanie says, “I love being able to zone out, cook, and see the reward of guests appreciating the small details and finesse of cooking.” She’s passionate about steaks, beef, and seafood, and one of her favorite dishes to cook is scallops. Shrimp also ranks high, whether grilled, wrapped in prosciutto, or added to pastas and risottos. Chef Stephanie is one of our Premium Protein Specialists,  a role perfectly suited for her that combines her wealth of experience in fine dining with her love for everything beef and seafood. When she’s not in the kitchen, Chef Stephanie indulges in a favorite hobby – epoxy resin art. So, whether she’s working with the perfect cut of beef or the lustrous fluidity of resin, she is destined to create unique, beautiful things! Looking to add new proteins to your menu? Let Chef Stephanie’s talent, wealth of information, and positive attitude help you with recipe development or any culinary need.
